Remembrance Week

On Monday, November 6th Blessed Trinity welcomes parent and guest speaker Lieutenant Cindy Luk of the 8th Highlanders Royal Army Cadet Corps who will speak to our Grades 4 to 8 students about the Canadian peacekeeping mandate and about ways we, as global citizens, can promote peaceful conflict resolution in our daily lives.

On Thursday, November 9th our Grade 4/5 teacher Mr. D’Addario will speak with and provide a presentation to students in grades 4, 5 and 6, sharing his experiences as he visited the home of Anne Frank in Amsterdam.

On Friday, November 10th our Grade 3 classes will lead us in a Remembrance Day Service from 10:40 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. in the large gym. Our Kindergarten classes will mark Remembrance Day, in their classroom, with a special activity. On the afternoon of Friday, November 10th Blessed Trinity welcomes Holocaust Survivor Andy Reti from the Simon Wiesenthal Centre of Holocaust Studies to our school. Andy will share his story, as a Holocaust survivor, with our grades 7 and 8 students.
